I had a clean, comfy Double Room with a fabulous view and great tea-making facilities. Street parking made things easier.

I enjoyed very friendly and extremely helpful employees!
Actually everything was fine, my next choice again in Bristol. The place was clean with private parking and an extra large bed. This excellent value and nicely appointed hotel was in central location very close to city centre. There were an electric kettle, a mini-fridge-bar and a sofa bed in my double room.

The breakfast was great, specially the possibility to use the buffet. The area of the restaurant is very nicely designed.
The whole house was a bit worn, the window frames in the room were extremely rotten and broken. Didn't make a good impression.

Location
Cleanliness - very unclean - room smelt of cigarettes and the bathroom was filthy with dirt around the taps. No duvet and stained blankets.

The hotel was is a good area for us. The room was quite small, however we were only staying for one night, and didnt want to pay too much, so it was perfect! Staff were really friendly upon check in and out. And we had a coffee the next morning in the sunshine which was really yummy!
It was about a 20 minute walk from the centre, but again, it was only for one night. The room was quite small, so price could have been reduced for this. Some more toiletries in the bathroom would have been great. Not all of the TV channels didnt work.

Without a doubt, it is the front desk staff who make this hotel welcoming. They were a model of professionalism. I can think of several larger and more luxurious hotels who would do well to learn from The Clifton. Good value for money.
The refurbished bathrooms only seemed to highlight how drab and care-worn the room decor was.

There is nothing commendable about this hotel.
The room I stayed in had bed bugs, the management was appaling dealing with my complaints and it is only when I called the Pest Control Unit of Bristol Council that it is an ongoing problem. Appalling, noone should be exposed to this hotel.

Hotel and bar staff (In Racks downstairs) very helpful and welcoming. Room was a good size for our needs with nice personal touches. Price was very fair for what we had and the food in the restaurant was excellent, would definitely go again.
If anything I would say that I would have preferred an extra hour to check out.
